even if you care deeply about some specific kind of suffering you do not have to fill your life with as many upsetting stories of that type of suffering as possible. that is just signing up to have a bad time.
does you absorbing this information help you benefit a cause? and even if you are benefitting a cause, are you doing something productive with more of these stories or are they just making you feel bad? are you taking more effective action or just getting overwhelmed with sadness? is surrounding yourself with stuff that upsets you helping you more than it hurts you?

The game says it several times, at least the first one does. But you only really get an explanation of how they’re twins but their ages vary so widely in the Bachelor route I believe.

Age in patho is a joke. Especially in classic where Nina apparently died eleven years ago, Khan is ten, and the Stamatins deffinetly didn't come to town more than eleven years ago because they would have been 18, and even if they had the polyhedron took at least a year before it was built considering the stairways to heaven exist (also Katerina says she was fifteen when Nina died but is also 30 or 36). Just don't think about it, the more you do the less sense it makes

I think the point they’re making is that the devs intentionally gave ages that make no sense, in order to reflect that it’s a setting created by kids. The setting is intentionally nonsensical in the manner of a child’s imagination.
